Public Domain Music

I've started a set on Soundcloud with public domain music, why I do this? I collect public domain stuff from the internet so I can work on my own games, music, and other stuff. I love the fact that people share their work for free. And I want to keep that scene alive since it is so small. Now I am not the best artist there is. I know that. But I think my music and other art make great placeholders. And if you like the song as it is, feel free to use it even for commercial products, but I really would like to see the result, so feel free to contact me if you do so, maybe I can even change some things to your likings. Well, I hope my art and music gets usefull for at least someone, if so, I am a happy guy!

Here is the set.

Made a new song

I really wouldn't know how to describe it, just made a little tune for the sake of experiment, fun, and a tiny bit of boredom. At least something fun was created I think. Feel free to tell me what you think ;).

Enjoy!

This is how I paint.

Here I have some pictures from the way I paint, it are some old figurines, so they are still dusty, I can't seem to get it off of it. Maybe I have to wash them carefully.

Gijs Gieskes

Gijs Gieskes really makes the most awesome hardware, I don't know how he does it. But it's great. I love all of his video's but this really is one of the best:

Enjoy!

A little bit of persistence for ya.

What branchmining can do for us.

Back to the roots.

Don't you love thinking back about the time you were waiting near the radio to record your favorite songs, so you could listen to your mixtape all day? I sure miss it. Some times I still install my Nintendo Entertainment System to feel that nostalgia again, and the best part about it all, (this applies to vinyl, tapes, old computer games and what not) that the quality was bad, but in a lovely way. The slightest unexpected glitch in a song or game just gives me the shivers. That's probably why I now am fond of glitch music. Also the precious moments I had with the video tape recorder, video's watched over fifty times really started to be art.

Nostalgia.

I really would like to buy myself a new computer: 1,33 MHz Proc, 32MB Memory, 2GB HDD, Voodoo Graphicscard, and so on. It really makes me happy thinking about the possibilitys I would have with that system. All those DOS games can be played again, and I could laugh at my friends because I could play all those retro games much smoother.

This all remembers me of the fact someone on youtube recorded some gameplay in Doom with his video tape recorder. It was such a lovely sight. Maybe I can find it again.

20 minutes later: Found it!

Enjoy ;).

So yeah, we all go onward with technology but let's not forget were it all started!
